Intermodal South America celebrates its 30th edition this year, firmly established as one of the leading meeting points for the logistics industry in Latin America. More than 45,000 professionals and 500 companies come together over three days at an event that, three decades on, remains true to its original goal: connecting supply and demand and creating business opportunities.

In this context, Erhardt Logistics is participating for the second consecutive year, alongside Erhardt Ertransit and together with nine other partners from the Uniforce agent network. This presence reflects a clear commitment to strengthening our positioning in the region.

During these days, we are taking the opportunity to reinforce ties with international partners and open up new business opportunities. Particularly noteworthy is the development of connections between our offices in China and Spain with Latin America.

One of the key pillars is the air connection between Shanghai and LATAM via our Spanish hub (Madrid and Barcelona). This operation, developed by Erhardt Ertransit for the Latin American market, helps avoid traditional bottlenecks on routes passing through the United States, reducing lead times and customs complexity—especially in a context shaped by new constraints such as the minimis thresholds established by the U.S.

Intermodal reflects how logistics has transformed over the past 30 years. It began as a meeting point to showcase equipment and services and has evolved into a comprehensive ecosystem combining business, knowledge, and networking.

Over these three decades, it has accompanied and anticipated major industry shifts—from port modernization in the 1990s to digitalization, the rise of e-commerce, and the growing importance of sustainability.

The 2026 edition places the spotlight on the future of logistics, with special attention to intralogistics and automation. A highlight is the new Smart Intralogistics area, where advanced solutions for warehouse operations are showcased, ranging from management systems to automation and equipment.

In addition, the program features more than 100 speakers and discussions centered on three main themes: infrastructure, innovation, and geopolitics—all within an environment designed to foster valuable connections and strategic decision-making.

The presence of Spanish companies continues to grow within Intermodal, reinforcing Europe’s role as a key partner in the development of logistics across the region.

In this regard, the participation of Erhardt Ertransit strengthens that connection, bringing our experience in integrated logistics services, international connectivity, and solutions tailored to the evolving dynamics of global trade.

Beyond figures and trends, Intermodal remains a meeting point where relationships turn into business and where the connections that will shape the future of our operations in the region are built.
